No time like now

First you cast your line into the river.

And then you wait.

  1. Uh-huh. [NODS]

What do you do when you notice that the part of your line that was below water level has now completely dissolved away?

  2. Continuing the metaphor…

OK… I’ll bite… what are you talking about?

  3. Reminds me of a folksy cartoon(?) I saw once. An image of an old man sitting under a tree on a riverbank
and holding a homemade fishing pole, line dangling in the water. Captioned “Sometimes I sets and thinks,
and sometimes I jes sets”. Which may have nothing at all to do with what you wrote. 🙂

  4. Good things come to those who wait, so I’m told. Have you read my user profile lately? -H…

    • That’s what I am hoping. Of course, it was the philosopher Thomas Petty who said “The waiting is the hardest part.” 🙂 *hug*

  5. Happy fishing.
