People

  • Larissa March
Larissa is my dear sweetheart and partner, the person who shares my home, my life, and my heart. Her page is currently under construction, but I remember her last home page and know it will soon be something worth really looking at!

  • Don and Dina Hess
Dina is the closest thing in the world I have to a sister, and she and her family is very dear to me. You'll find lots of pictures of here of their adorable children.

  • Bill and Brenda Sutton
Bill and Brenda have become a surrogate family to me here in Atlanta, and have done a good job of looking after me over the last few years. I play AD&D with Bill every Thursday, and Larissa and I are frequently guests in their home.

  • Gwen Knighton
Where would I be without Gwen? Most people know her as the master harper in the band Three Weird Sisters, but I'll always think of her as the person who gave me a place to live when my last relationship was disintigrating and I had nowhere to go. A very dear friend who I would do almost anything for.

  • Jill Furlong
Jill is another JediMUDder, former co-worker, and the person I can most count on to give me a kick in the ass when I really deserve one. Jill is the biggest Disney fan I know, and currently lives much too far away with her several cats.

  • Jon and Aileen Carlstrom
Aileen is my co-worker, frequent lunch companion, and constant proof that smart, attractive women can also be highly skilled in the technical field (not that I ever had any doubt). Lots of pictures of their infant son, Ryan, who is too cute for words.

Places

  • City of Alpharetta
I live in the beautiful north Atlanta suburb of Alpharetta. Of all the places I have lived in the metro area, this is my favourite...close enough to the city to be easily accessable, yet far enough away from the city to still have a touch of small town feel.

  • Aphelion Webzine
Aphelion Webzine is an online literary webzine started by my friend Dan Hollifield in 1997 and still going strong. It's one part fanzine and two parts writer's workshop, allowing amatuer writers to put their stories in front of people who want to read them and hopefully get some feedback and constructive criticism from those readers. I've written irregular columns and stories for the zine over the years, and served as its webmaven and features editor since nearly the beginning.

  • FilkNet
FilkNet is a venture that was set up jointly by myself and Mike Whitaker in 1999 in order to provide a private IRC space for filkers to hang out without the hassles that come with most public spaces. We also added mailing list support and host many of the filk communities mailng lists on our servers.

FilkNet is, of course, the home of #filkhaven, which has become one of the most prominant meeting spots for filkers over the last 4 years. You can usually find 20-30 people from three continants online at any given time. Drop by and say hi!

  • LiveJournal
I started a LiveJournal back in 2001, right around the time things really were starting to fall apart in my life. I didn't write about those things, perhaps, as much as I should have, but I love the community of people I have found there. You can access my journal by clicking on the "Journal" button on the left.

  • JediMUD
It seems like I've spent a third of my life on JediMUD. Oh wait, I actually have. JediMUD is an online text-adventure game that has been running more or less continuously since 1992, and I've been part of its administration since 1993. Hard to believe that it's still going after all these years.

Things

  • GaFiA
The official homepage of Georgia Filkers Anonymous, the sort-of organization of the local filk community.

  • GaFilk
GaFilk is the Georgia Filk Convention, which I served on the committee for since 1999. The con is held every January in Atlanta, GA, and you can find out more about the next con and previous cons by checking out our webpage!

  • Interfilk
Interfilk is a fan fund serving the filk community, by helping send filkers from one part of the country to other parts of the country. I was honoured to be the Interfilk guest to OVFF in 2002, which was definately one of the highlights of my time in the filk community.

  • The alt.polyamory homepage
This is a home page for the Usenet newsgroup alt.polyamory. There's a lot of good information here about polyamory in general, and links to local groups and people. An excellent place to start if you are interested in responsible non-monogamy.

  • Amazon Wish List
I use the wish list feature at Amazon more as a way of bookmarking things I eventually plan to get around to buying for myself, but if someone actually wanted to buy me something off of this, I wouldn't complain. :) Perusing this may offer clues as to what sort of things I like, though.

  • Rob and Larissa's Library
Daniel and Melissa Glasser recommended to me an excellent cataloging software called ReaderWare, which we then used to get a proper inventory on our book collection. This page will be updated as we acquire more books, which is an activity we indulge in as often as possible!
